Thursday, June 15th | 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
David Todd McCarty is known for his portrait and fashion images, but his work is most often recognized for his beautiful use of light and his simple compositions. McCarty argues that what makes his work unique is his simple approach to his subjects. “People think photography has to be complicated to be good. That’s almost never true.”
McCarty will discuss his approach to using basic lighting techniques to achieve beautiful portraits. From using indirect sunlight, to photographing portraits using a single light. Also he will touch on how important post processing is to what people refer to as “his use of light.”
He will end with how this applies to his work as an international award winning commercial director and how he has learned to do more with less. Register here.
