Alt-Americana band FolkFaces, with rowdy blues and rootsy jazz from Buffalo, NY will headline a fundraising concert at Stockton University Campus Center Theater to benefit the Memorial Stacy Moore Hagan Estuarine Internship in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
FolkFaces music is a combination of early 20th-century hokum, jug band style and original foot-stomping good times. Specializing in merriment and sticking it to the system (with a combination of rowdy folk music and equal-opportunity roasting), FolkFaces make the crowd dance, and the hierarchy shatter. This family show follows the story of the stalwart heroes of the Zula Patrol who are on an expedition collecting samples of weather for scientist Multo’s research – using their loyal pet Gorga’s ability to collect and bottle all kinds of weather. When the Zula gang inadvertently hurts Gorga’s feelings, he decided to leave Zula and find another planet to live on. Interplanetary villain Dark Truder then tricks Gorga into stealing the weather from other planets as part of his latest nefarious scheme to rule the Universe. The ZPers find out and go after him and in the process learning all about weather both terrestrial and interplanetary.
