SCOOT Transportation now offers a shuttle to Christiana Plaza
The Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities is offering a new shuttle toChristiana Plaza on Tuesdays beginning May 14th. The shuttle will arrive at the Cinemark movie theatre at 9:00 am – in time for the 9:30 a.m. discount show– and make drop offs at the Christiana Mall, Cabelas, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michaels CraftShop, Marshalls and Main Even – where you can bowl and play mini golf . Final pick up to return to Salem County is 12:30 p.m.
“This new shuttle is an opportunity for our seniors and disabled to get out, enjoy friendships, experience something new, and not have to worry about driving across the bridge,” said Freeholder Mickey Ostrum, who chairs the Health and Human Services Committee. “The mix of plaza stops offers something for everyone — movies, mall walking, exploring sporting goods stores, mini-golf, bowling, shopping, and new restaurants.”
Freeholder Director Ben Laury said the shuttle is part of the Department of Health and Human Service’s mission to address loneliness and depression, common among seniors . “This is a chance to socialize,” he said.
The fee for the round trip is $6.00.
