What’s Hot this Weekend: Arts in Bloom Festival and Riverview Beach Park Wine Festival
It’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy spring in New Jersey! Two fantastic festivals are going on in New Jersey’s Heartland and there’s something for everyone.
Art lovers will flourish at the Salem County Arts in Bloom Festival on May 19 and 20. Now in its tenth year, this festival of the arts is “celebrating a decade of artistry.” Artists from all over Salem County welcome guests to tour studios, galleries and other scenic locations. Every stop on the tour offers a unique experience in a scenic country setting. Bring the whole family for this FREE, 2-day festival. In addition to the studio tours, there will be activities including pottery demonstrations, painting, fiber arts, puppetry and much more. Appel Farm will have a variety of hands-on 2-D and 3-D activities during the day for visiting families.
Local restaurants and cafes are also a part of the event. Many local eateries will be offering discounts to Arts in Bloom participants and visitors, and some are offering “food on the go” for people who want to see as many of the artists’ studios as they can. If you’re looking for some adult fun, be sure and visit the Riverview Beach Park Wine Festival in Pennsville. Enjoy tasting a variety of local New Jersey wines in the picturesque riverside setting of Riverview Beach Park. Bring a picnic blanket and grab a bite to eat with your wine. The ever-popular food trucks—Carolina Blue, The Flying Pie Guy and Waffles & Wedges—will be serving delicious eats all day. Live music and crafters will be available, too. The Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20, 2018 from noon to 5PM at the Riverview Beach Park in Pennsville, NJ. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
